We visited in October 2016. It was so beautiful! The ancient, massive trees were inspiring and calming and incredible! The boardwalk was nice. We walked the whole boardwalk and then took the loop Back Hill trail back. It was a pleasant 2 1/2 hours. Great for all people, regardless of skill level. Much of it was wheelchair accessible. It was cold in the shadows of the big trees, so take a jacket. I felt a majesty and reverence in those trees that is hard to find in many places. It was solemn and peaceful and happy.

We stopped here on our way from Yosemite to Idaho, looking for a nice break from the long drive. There were several spots in different locations, so even though there were several groups of people, we were able to find one for just us. The ones we found were all cattle trophs, but they were effective at holding the water. Some were cleaner than others, but all were fairly dirty, and I could smell cattle droppings. There was no shade, which made for a long view, but it was hot! And the water was hot. One of the springs was surrounded by some water, kinda like a large puddle. It had 50 or so goldfish in it. They were fun to watch. Each spot had a slightly different set up. One had a big deck. Most had a board to sit on. The one with the gold fish had a little dock. It was unsteady though. And each one has a different temperature, so if it's too hot or not hit enough drive around a little bit more until you find the one you like. There isn't a map or anything and the dirt roads are pretty rough, although our Honda van did just fine. I'm glad we checked it out, but we didn't stay long. I think I would have enjoyed it a lot more after dark.

Thus place always seemed too dangerous for my lifeguard training. In my opinion there are way better places to go if you want to jump off of something into the water. But if you just want to splash around, this place can be fun, but pretty crowded.

We have had lots of fun here over the years! Just make sure you dress warm. And take lights and extra batteries. It gets very nearly totally dark in here. And it is rough terrain, so walking in the dark is inadvisable. But whether you just go in a few feet or explore all the way into the small holea in the back this a fun place to spend an afternoon.

I hate telling you how much I love this place because it's only downside it how many people know about it! But it handles lots of people pretty well. Great for jumping and the perfect height to perfect your back flips or gainer. Sometimes there is a rope that is great for the little kids. And the slow current is great to just hang out in while you watch your buddies show off. We have way too much fun here!

This place is too freaky for me! Not because of the height, but there are too many other risks! The safe place to jump is just too small for me to feel good about it. But it is absolutely beautiful! And the water is very nice! Great place for swimming. We saw otters and raccoons and fish and lots of birds!

We love rolling down these sand dunes! And doing back flips and tricks down them. Great for sand boarding and sledding. It's close and fun! Great place for bonfires, just make sure you follow the posted rules or you might get fined!

My only problem with this place is that I've been here too many times! It's fun, it's educational, and it's beautiful. Easy enough for kids and packs, but hard enough to feel like I've done something. Love it here!

One time when we came here the ants were so bad we couldn't even make it to the water, but when we tried again a couple of years later we had a blast! The shallow water was great for all of us to play in. And we were practically the only people there. We loved having the kayak and playedo a lot of water football. Great family day!

The hike isn't very long, but it is steep. If elevation gain is hard for you, be warned. But it can be a fun adventure. My tough little kids can hike it with only a little bit of hand holding on the slick parts. There are definetly some slippery places from sand over rock. I strongly suggest good gripping shoes. And make sure you take water. There is a permanent no flush toilet at the bottom, but no services at the top. There is a great view of the whole area, all the way from the Sawtooths to the Tetons

As a sledding hill, this place can get crowded fast. But it's a great park! It has ball fields and tennis courts and a basketball court. It has covered pavilions and a great playground with slides and swings. It also has a Veteran Memorial. And this sledding hill is great for rolling. And it has a great paved walking path around the whole thing that is roughly half a mile. And nice bathrooms and a drinking fountain. It's all available year round.

I love that this is so close to town, but seems like an escape. It makes it a great place to picnic. If I had family coming to town I would totally recommend they camp here. Often there is big wildlife, like moose and deer, along the river. My kids love going there to skip rocks. And at the end there is a great place to watch airplanes come and go. We felt really safe when we camped there. The only down side is sometimes it really smells bad.

The play ground is way fun for my kids. And I love the amount of shade right next to the toys. And because its so clone to the airport its a great place to watch the planes come and go. The ducks are always fun to see and feed. They ask that you use the duck food in the $0.25 dispenser to help the ducks stay healthy. The variety of trails is fun too. It's easy to feel alone when there are tons of people there. We also enjoy the Frisbee golf course. Sometimes it can be smelly though, because of the ducks.

Beaver Dick is a cute little campground! My kids had a blast playing on the old school playground. The covered pavilion was perfect for our picnic. We used the provided charcoal grill, but there was also a nice fireplace. It's right on the river, with beautiful scenery and bushes and fun wild life. We set up 2 slack lines. There was enough parking for all 6 of our vehicles. It was nice that it was close enough to run into town to get Ketchup and things that we forgot. I recommend this place for locals and for visitors. It's a refreshing little oasis in the middle of the desert. But do bring bugspray. Mosquitoes are always a pest near water.

We went in June 2016. There was the perfect amount of just warm enough water in the river running through the canyon. It was cold enough to filter and drink and warm enough to walk through comfortably. We took 3 days to do the 15 miles. The first night we went about 2 miles and stayed at the amphitheater that was amazing, with pictographs and amazing stars. About 2 or 3 miles from the end, on day 3, we can across 3 natural arches. they were way neat. Along the way we saw ancient grainaries high in the cliffs. The canyons were tall and would have been impossible to climb, so just plan on going through to the end. We spent about half the time walking in water. It almost rarely was knee high, usually mid-calf. The other time the trail was sand. It would get hot, so the water was a nice relief. The thing to watch out for is flash floods, so know the signs and what to do and watch the weather for a fee days before entering. The trail would be doable in one day, but it was fun to take it easy and really enjoy the beauty. The cliffs changed and round very corner and it took way longer than it should have because we stopped so often to look around. I would say this hike is great for anyone who can carry a pack big enough to hold their own supplies.
