Waterfalls

Hike

One of the many waterfalls in the Mt Timpanogos area, Timpanogos Falls is a lesser known and visited waterfall. The trail for Timpanogos Falls departs from the same parking lot as Stewart Falls, but follows the trail used to hike Mt Timpanogos. The trail is not as steep to the waterfall as the hike to Stewart Falls is, but offers the same level of scenery and nature as Stewart Falls. Overall Timpanogos Falls is a great hike for beginner hikers or families with small children.

The trail departs from the Aspen Grove Trail and is paved for a portion of the hike. Late Spring or early Summer are good times to visit as the waterfall will be flowing rapidly with snowmelt, and wildflowers will begin blooming as well. Throughout the hike, hikers will be treated to beautiful views of Mt Timpanogos framed by the canyon walls. The waterfall itself is a multi-tiered waterfall, and is visible pretty early on from the trail.

Because there are multiple trails that leave from the same area, parking can be difficult to find, especially during the summer and on weekends. Get there early and parking should be available. Also try later in the afternoon as many hikers will have alreardy headed home.
