Hot Springs
Thundering Spring is one of the warm springs in Molana, Georgia. It is a swampy warm spring that is heated from a source in the middle of the spring and fed by a small stream. At one point Thundering Spring had a wooden structure built in for bathing, but the structure is now very warn.
The Thundering Spring is named for the sound the gas bubbles of the spring make. The water in the spring is warmer than the average water in this region of Georgia.

Be careful. Pay attention to posted signs and always test the waters before you get in. Some hot springs can get up to boiling temperatures. Be sure to drink plenty of water to combat the dehydrating effect of the spring.
Be respectful of other soakers and the hot spring. Don't hog the pool. Camp at least 200 yards away and keep fires in designated areas. Keep your pets out of the water and never pee in thermal feature. Glass bottles should never go near a hot spring.

- Head east on Springs Rd toward N Main St (33 ft)
- Turn right onto GA-109 W/GA-18 W/S Main St (1.4 mi)
- Turn left onto GA-74 E (1.8 mi)
- Turn right onto Thundering Springs Rd (0.7 mi)
- Turn right onto Dripping Rock RdDestination will be on the left(364 ft)
From lawrences mill take crest highway 74 southwest. Turn off on Thundering springs road and follow the signs from there.
