Hike, Mountain Bike, and Rock Climb
Storm Mountain is on of the smaller peaks included in the Wasatch Range. Storm Mountain is located in Cottonwood Canyon. Storm Mountain Day Use Area is just 3 miles up Big Cottonwood Canyon, conveniently close to Salt Lake City. Big Cottonwood Creek runs alongside the site.
Storm Mountain is more suited for rock climbing than peak bagging. There are also many various trails for hiking and biking.
Hiking to the peak is considered strenuous and there a majority of the hike will be rocky and covered with woody shrubs.
Visitors enjoy fishing, hiking, and biking in the Cottonwood Canyon area.
More Information
Never modify trail features. Ride trails when they're dry enough that you won't leave ruts. Speak up when you see others on the trail and always yield to hikers, horses, and others coming uphill. Always ride on the established trail.
