Mountain Bike

The Sovereign trail is a part of the Sovereign trail system in Moab, Utah. This trail is a mix of slickrock and nice singletrack trail. At the beginning of the trail there will be an uphill climb portion with a series of rock step ups. Making sure to stay balanced is the key when attempting this portion. After three intersections the trail will meet up with the Salt Wash, which is the largest climb of the trail and also produces the biggest descent of the trail. About halfway through the trail, Sovereign will follow the base of Cedar Mountain before having riders climb up. At this point, riders can either choose to stay left and continue up around a rim or stay right and continue on the Sovereign-Cedar Mountain Loop. The trail following the rim ends at Dalton Wells Road after a nice descent requiring some technical biking.

Never modify trail features. Ride trails when they're dry enough that you won't leave ruts. Speak up when you see others on the trail and always yield to hikers, horses, and others coming uphill. Always ride on the established trail.
