Canoe, Hike, and Kayak

Launch at Hideaway Harbor and head east about 0.7 miles. Little Caney Peninsula on east shore is 100's of acres of farmland returning to nature. It is owned by Sabine River Authority, but totally unimproved, devoid of human beings, and not officially or unofficially open for exploration. But not patrolled either. Deer, otters, coyotes, and bobcats rule the place.
