A 2.2 mile loop trail located near Belleville, Kansas, Rocky Pond Trail has a lake and good for all trail skill levels.The trail is easy to walk on if you are wearing the right shoes; it does have gravel on the trail and it gets hot during the summer times. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on leash and the trail offers a number of activity options. They have an RV park where you can camp out and enjoy the area or taking in the beauty near sunrise or sunset by walking around is a great way of enjoying the trail. As a tip, you'll need high socks, good closed in shoes and plenty of bug spray to keep the ticks and other bugs off if you walk through the grass. Also by the trail, if you want to visit certain attractions in the area, there's the Paul Boyer Museum of Animated Carvings.

Never modify trail features. Ride trails when they're dry enough that you won't leave ruts. Speak up when you see others on the trail and always yield to hikers, horses, and others coming uphill. Always ride on the established trail.
