Lewisville Regional Park is a beautiful park built to fit all kinds of activities. Open from seven in the morning until dusk, you will be able to spend a fun filled day with your friends and family. Here you can play basketball, softball/baseball, or horseshoe. The park comes fully equipped with barbecue grills, picnic tables, playground equipment, and a 2.8 mile walking trail that spans through the park. The walking trail is surrounded by trees during various parts of your walk, so you will be able to enjoy the nature all around you and the wildlife.
Along the parks edge you will be delighted to find the Lewis River! Many boat and fish on the river-a boat launch is available for use, but the river is also open to swimmers. Use caution as you swim, the river can have swift currents and the water is deeper in other parts than others.
The park is rather large so you will be sure to find an activity for everyone to enjoy! This is a great place to hold family reunion events, birthday parties, or to have a relaxing day in the sun! Be aware that you will have to pay a small price for parking, but it will be well worth it for the fun you will have!
