Kinlock Falls in Bankhead National Forest is a favorite hangout spot among locals. It's a great place to hang out for a hot afternoon! Visitors can go down the falls on their kayaks and jump from various rock ledges into the pool below. It is well known for being a "water slide". *Take caution where the shallow areas are before jumping in* The rocks can be slippery so be careful when walking on the wet surfaces.
This is a moderately trafficked area due to how close it is to the road. It's just a short hike to the falls and swimming area from the road. It is advised not to go swimming here after a rainstorm as it can be quite dangerous.
NOTE: Watch out for venomous snakes in the area. There is also no cell coverage at this location.
