The City of Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department and Kerrville
PlayScape, Inc., announce the opening of Kerrville Skate Park on
Saturday, November 17, 2007. The opening ceremonies will be at
10:00 a.m. at the facility location on Singing Wind Drive in Kerrville. The
public is invited to this occasion featuring skateboarding demonstrations
for the kids by Skatepark of Austin.
The all concrete bi-level street course will be open to the public and can
be used free of charge. The facility features a banked wall ride, redial
ledge, hubba ledge and a quarter pipe. The ParkÂ’s construction began
in August and its completion culminates the planning and fund-raising of
several years by Kerrville PlayScape, Inc. and the Economic
Improvement Corporation.
