Kayak and Swim

Kahala Beach is a more secluded beach and doesn't get as crowded as Waikiki. Kahala is very shallow and makes a perfect swimming or kayaking location. Be sure to bring water shoes if you have them since the shoreline here is fairly rocky in some areas.

There are various beach access points along Kahala Avenue. Some access points are better than others. The better options are to go to the end of Hunakai Street or Koloa Street. These have a better shoreline to walk on.

There is a lot of street parking on Kahala Avenue, Portlock Road, and Hanapepe Loop.
