Hike and Mountain Bike
Guacamole Mesa, also known by locals as the Whole Guacamole, is an advanced level biking trail in Virgin, Utah (just outside of Hurricane). The trail starts in a climb up the mesa that features tight curves, a narrow trail, but gorgeous desert veiws as you bike up the steep trail. After the climb, bikers power down the mesa in to flat desert lands as they round the loop and end the trail at the same climb.
Just outside of Zion National park, many of the beautiful red cliffs can be seen from the Guacamole Mesa trail as you bike through vast desert and through beautiful red rock mesa. The loop itself is about 11 miles long, so be sure to pack plenty of water when you bike this trail.
A word of caution for this trail is to avoid biking in the rain or in bad weather because it makes the rocks during the uphill, narrow areas of the trail slippery and could cause a fall or injury to bikers.
This trail is a great test of skill for any biker wanting a challenge. What better place could you ask for than beautiful southern Utah? Guacamole Mesa could be exactly the challenge you are looking for!
