Buckhorn State Park and Wildlife Area has over 4600 acres by the Castle Rock Flowage of the Wisconsin River. Unique cart-in campsites offer a rustic flavor. Some key features of the park is a 300 foot beach and plentiful wildlife. There are two accessible wildlife observation/hunting blinds on the shoreline as well as two accessible boat boarding piers, an accessible fishing pier, and a two story wildlife observation blind. The park also has an accessible cabin for use by people with disabilities. Visitors enjoy swimming, fishing and hunting at the park. The park is located 35 miles northwest of Wisconsin Dells.

- Head northeast on W 3rd St toward S Main St (1.0 mi)
- Turn right onto County Rd G (8.6 mi)
- Turn left onto Buckhorn Park Ave (0.3 mi)
Traveling north on I-90/94 from Madison, take Exit 69 (Mauston) and turn west on Hwy 82. At the stoplight turn north on Highway 58. At Cty Trk G (12-15 miles), turn right and go 4 miles to the park entrance.
Travelling south on I90/94 from Lacrosse or Eau Claire, exit at New Lisbon, turn east on Highway 80 and turn east on County Trunk A. Go north on Highway 58. Turn right on County Trunk G for 4 miles to park entrance.
